Léo Caillard’s work is polymorphic. Moving easily from sculpture to photography, he produces many series that have made the news, including Hipsters in Stone which dresses ancient statues as hipsters of today. This series could be seen in March 2018 at King’s College London during the exhibition Classical Now.
HISTORIA is a retrospective retracing Léo Caillard’s research from 2014 to 2020. The Teodora Galerie focuses this exhibition around a single theme: the notion of time, both in its conceptual form and in its scientific approach. HISTORIA shows the evolution of matter in use, the evolution of its perception by the artist as well as by the spectator.
Léo Caillard is an artist who questions the history of art. Parallel to his retrospective at the Teodora Gallery, the artist will exhibit at the Musée Dali, echoing aesthetically the works of Dali and his relationship with antiquity.
